چکیده

Osmanthus fragrans Lour. is a popular and traditional Chinese decorative plant. Salinity one of the major abiotic stresses affecting growth development O. fragrans. However, involvement SQUAMOSA PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN-like (SPL) gene in salt stress response little understood. To elucidate role OfSPL genes resistance, we isolated candidate gene, OfSPL11, from genotype ‘Yanhong Gui’. OfSPL11 transcriptional activator that located nucleus. salt-inducible highly expressed young leaves shoots, according to tissue-specific expression external treatment. The promoter activity activated by treatments tobacco callus transgenic lines exhibited better physiological performance; under stress, have faster germination rate, longer roots, less leaf withering than wild type (WT). In addition, overexpression protected oxidative damage suppressing accumulation malondialdehyde (MDA) reactive oxygen species (ROSs) Arabidopsis. can promote some stresses, including AtCBL1, AtCOR15A, AtCOR6.6, AtRD29A, AtSOS2 AtSOS3. Yeast one-hybrid assays transient showed OfZAT12 (homologous Arabidopsis AtRHL41 gene) specifically binds positively regulates its expression. This study sheds fresh light on enhancing tolerance promoting reducing damage.

Phenolic antioxidants isolated from the flowers of Osmanthus fragrans.

O. fragrans has slightly less antioxidative activity than green tea. Five phenolic compounds, tyrosyl acetate (1), (+)-phillygenin (2), (8E)-ligustroside (3), rutin (4), and verbascoside (5), were isolated from the CHCl3 sub-extract of O. fragrans. The structures were elucidated by interpreting their spectral data. Evaluation of the antioxidative property of the isolated (+)-phillygenin (2), ru...

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobactria Enhance Salinity Stress Tolerance in Cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) During Germination Stage

In order to investigate the effect of seed inoculation with Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobactria (PGPR) on germination and some biochemical and physiological indices of Cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) under salinity stress, an experiment was conducted. Experimental factors were included in seed priming in five levels (seed inoculation with three strains of Pf2, Pf25 and CHA0 of Pseudomonas fluorescen...

The First Genetic Map in Sweet Osmanthus (Osmanthus fragrans Lour.) Using Specific Locus Amplified Fragment Sequencing

Osmanthus fragrans is an ornamental plant of substantial commercial value, and no genetic linkage maps of this species have previously been reported. Specific-locus amplified fragment sequencing (SLAF-seq) is a recently developed technology that allows massive single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) to be identified and high-resolution genotyping. In our current research, we generated the first ...

A novel salt-induced gene from sheepgrass, LcSAIN2, enhances salt tolerance in transgenic Arabidopsis.

Salt stress affects plant growth and development, and limits the productivity of crops. Sheepgrass can grow well under various environmental and soil conditions and is a good wild resource in Triticeae. Using 454 high throughout sequencing technique, a large number of salt stress responsive genes have been picked out from sheepgrass. In this study, a novel salt-induced gene and its promoter wer...

Beneficial Soil Bacterium Pseudomonas frederiksbergensis OS261 Augments Salt Tolerance and Promotes Red Pepper Plant Growth

Soil salinity, being a part of natural ecosystems, is an increasing problem in agricultural soils throughout the world. Pseudomonas frederiksbergensis OS261 has already been proved to be an effective bio-inoculant for enhancing cold stress tolerance in plants, however, its effect on salt stress tolerance is unknown. The main aim of the present study was to elucidate P. frederiksbergensis OS261 ...
